Jesus called his followers to live and grow in community with one another. In his invitation to, "Come follow me" he modeled a rhythm of life that taught his disciples to gather, grow, and give. His intention was that we would be in growing relationships with one another, sharing what we have received from him.
Acts 2:42-47 tells how the early followers of Christ practiced this and it is our desire at Beechwood to model these rhythms in our community.
"All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had." Acts 2:42-44
Our groups gather regularly to form community based on authenticity and trust. They grow together through reading scriptures and discussing its meaning for their lives. Every groups is encouraged to give to their community through various serving opportunities.
