Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that you may have a few questions about what to expect about gathering and worshipping outside. We hope that this section will help answer them. Don’t see what you are looking for? Email us at email@example.com and we will be happy to help.
What time is service on Sunday?
Our outdoor service begins at 10am. We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes early so you have time to park and set up on the grass. Please practice social distancing when setting up your chairs or blankets on the lawn.
How will I know who is a volunteer or Beechwood staff?
Our volunteers and staff will be wearing green tee-shirts that say “Beechwood Summer Crew”. We are here to help and answer any questions you may have.
Do I have to wear a mask to the outdoor service?
The CDC recommends that individuals wear face masks in public, but it is not required to wear one. Our staff and volunteers will be wearing a face mask during the service.
Do you provide seating?
Yes, we have outdoor chairs that you may use. Please pick them up at chair racks around the grounds. Please practice social distancing when setting up your chairs or blankets on the lawn.
After you are done using them, please return them to the chair racks after the service.
Will you be providing amenities/restrooms?
Yes, there will be porta-potties available and our Lodge will be open during the service. It is recommended that you wear a mask inside the Lodge.
Will there be food or water?
Unfortunately no, we will not be providing food or water at this time. We ask that you bring your own food and water.
How long does your service last?
Our service lasts for about 50 minutes but you are more than welcome to stick around and enjoy the atmosphere after the service.
Where do we park?
- Please follow the guidance of our volunteers for parking.
- This year the handicapped parking is on the paved parking lot by the Lodge.
- There will also be designated parking for those that would prefer to stay in their car, roll down their windows and still enjoy the service.
What if there is inclement weather on Sunday mornings?
If there is inclement weather Sunday, the outdoor service will be canceled and no services will be held inside. Please visit us here on our website or Facebook for important updates.
I do not have outdoor chairs. Can I bring a blanket?
Yes! We have a designated blanket area for those that bring blankets. You may need to bring a tarp as the grass may be dewy in the morning.
Please practice social distancing when setting up your chairs or blankets on the lawn.
I am a senior citizen and am worried about where to go?
We have a new designated area for our seniors with safe social distancing.
I have small children. Can we still come to the outdoor worship?
Absolutely! We understand that children are an integral part of our church family. We have a specific area for your family or please join our general section area. The choice is yours.
Will there be infant care, toddler care or Beechwood Kids?
At this time, Beechwood Kids & infant/toddler care is not available. We will have a kid’s activity bag that you can collect before the service that is filled with activities for your child to work on during the service.
